Building a Temple in Zion
To Fellow Believers and Friends in Christ:
Joseph Smith was given a revelatory pattern, before the Lord would establish Zion. That pattern, established in the restoration, must be respected for any people to form Zion. If we are to “Preserve the Restoration,” in anticipation of the coming of the Lord to the New Jerusalem, preparations must begin by OUR united efforts, in like manner:
Teachings & Commandments 31:14
“ And with one heart and with one mind, gather up your riches that ye may purchase an inheritance which shall hereafter be appointed unto you. And it shall be called the New Jerusalem, a land of peace, a city of refuge, a place of safety for the saints of the Most High God…”
Teachings & Commandments 34:2
“ It must needs be necessary that ye save all the money that ye can, and that ye obtain all that ye can in righteousness, that in time ye may be enabled to purchase land for an inheritance, even the city.”
In accordance with the pattern established in scripture, like-minded groups and individuals have used their excess means to bless the lives of the poor among them. After fulfilling the needs of the poor among them, some have desired to contribute what remains into a general, unified fund, consecrated toward the future purchase of land, and the building of the Lord’s House in the New Jerusalem.
The Three Women, referred to in a talk given at the Doctrine of Christ Conference in Boise, Idaho, are providing and encouraging use of a Go Fund Me account to contribute funds for the temple. The campaign name is "The Temple Fund Project". Information about fees associated with gifts given through this crowd funding campaign can be found at GoFundMe .
